Why right now

Atlassian is discontinuing its Data Center products. For banks, this means Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management must move to the cloud – as an IT outsourcing under DORA, MaRisk, and EBA guidelines that must stand up to audits and supervision. This is exactly the kind of project we undertake. And for this, we are looking for reinforcements.

Responsibilities

As an Atlassian Consultant, you will guide banks and financial service providers from platform strategy to go-live in the cloud. You will combine consulting strength with a hands-on mentality: Today you'll talk to the CIO and CISO about the target picture, tomorrow with outsourcing management about the exit strategy – and the day after tomorrow, you'll configure the authorization scheme yourself.

Your Tasks

• Platform Strategy: You analyze established Atlassian landscapes and develop target pictures – Cloud vs. Hybrid, instance consolidation, tenant separation, governance and authorization concepts, roadmap.
• Regulatorily Sound Migration: You prepare migrations in such a way that information security, outsourcing management, compliance, and data protection can approve them – including risk analysis, exit strategy, DORA information register, audit rights, and sub-processors.
• Security & Compliance in the Cloud: You implement EU data residency, SSO/SCIM with Atlassian Guard, audit logging, encryption concepts, segregation of duties (SoD), and permission recertification.
• Migration Planning & Execution: Cloud readiness assessment, app analysis and cleanup, wave and cutover planning, migration with JCMA/CCMA – in sync with bank's change freeze periods and the four-eyes principle.
• Audit-Proof Documentation: Migration logs, data integrity proofs, and authorization concepts for audit and supervision.
• Consulting at Eye Level: You moderate workshops with decision-makers and control functions and translate technical options into well-founded decision proposals.
• Best Practices: You further develop our migration playbooks for regulated customers, making the team scalable.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in Atlassian consulting or administration in an enterprise environment.
• Demonstrable experience with at least one complex Server/Data Center → Cloud migration.
• Project experience in banking or the financial industry – or in a comparably regulated environment.
• Solid understanding of DORA, MaRisk/BAIT, EBA guidelines on outsourcing, and GDPR. You don't need to be a lawyer, but you must be able to answer compliance department questions.
• In-depth knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management, ideally also Atlassian Cloud Enterprise and Atlassian Guard.
• Hands-on mentality: You configure yourself and don't wait for someone else to handle the implementation.
• Fluent German and English skills.
• A plus: Atlassian certifications (or the motivation to obtain them), experience with ISO 27001 or IT audits, ITIL/ITSM, scripting (Groovy, Python, REST).
