Asst Manager Costing, Audit & Accounts - Lagos, Nigeria

Responsibilities You will be required to handle the costing of commodities procured and sold by the company. Additional responsibilities include: Internal audit Inventory Audit Tax and other Compliances Dealing with external auditors. Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database Construct data accumulation systems Determine fixed costs (e.g. salaries, rent and insurance) Plan and record variable costs (e.g. purchases of raw material and operations costs) Review standard and actual costs Prepare and compare budgets Analyze financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures and profit) Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions Analyze and report on variances Develop and update the cost accounting system Prepare cost reports and financial statements Advise management on cost analysis and profitability Prepare product costing reports. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role. In-depth understanding of accounting principles, cost accounting standards, and financial regulations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite. Experience in internal and external audit.
