Valsoft is seeking an M&A Associate to join our team in Canada. ABOUT VALSOFT CORP.: Founded in Canada in 2015, Valsoft now owns a global portfolio of over 118 companies. Valsoft acquires and develops software companies specializing in vertical markets, enabling them to offer the best critical solutions to their clients in their respective sector. A fundamental principle of Valsoft's philosophy is the importance of building strong relationships with our portfolio companies, their management teams, and their employees. This involves providing strategic guidance, operational support, and access to Valsoft's extensive network of resources and expertise. As an M&A Associate, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, conducting due diligence, and negotiating and closing deals. You will also be expected to work closely with our portfolio companies to develop and implement growth strategies, and to provide ongoing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets; • Conduct due diligence and negotiate and close deals; • Work closely with portfolio companies to develop and implement growth strategies; • Provide ongoing support and guidance to help portfolio companies achieve their goals; • Collaborate with other members of the M&A team to identify and pursue new opportunities; • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to identify and pursue new opportunities. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, finance, accounting); • 2-3 years of experience in M&A or a related field; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects; • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
