Dear Connections, we are Hiring: Mortgage Underwriting Associate (WFH Available) We are looking for a Mortgage Underwriting Associate with strong agency underwriting experience to join our team. If you’re comfortable underwriting residential mortgage loans end-to-end, we’d love to hear from you. What We’re Looking For 1. 2 years of hands-on mortgage underwriting experience 2. Strong knowledge of agency and lender guidelines 3. Solid understanding of the 4 C’s of underwriting 4. Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, and other government-backed loan programs 5. Ability to analyze complex financial data and make sound decisions based on that analysis 6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with borrowers, lenders, and internal stakeholders 7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines 8. Experience with mortgage underwriting software and systems, such as Encompass or similar platforms 9. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume environments 10. Ability to adapt to changing regulations and guidelines in the mortgage industry 11. Strong analytical skills to identify potential issues and develop effective solutions 12. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate with a team environment
