Overview About The Company Winfield Thorne is a sell-side M&A advisory firm specializing in mid-market exits (£2M–£100M). We represent founders, business owners, and CEOs looking to sell their companies. As the dedicated sell-side advisory arm of Palmstone Capital ($14B in transaction volume), we combine institutional infrastructure with a focused sell-side practice. About The Role Winfield Thorne advises founders and business owners on liquidity events — exits and capital raises between £2M and £100M, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, and restructurings. Our team of experienced M&A professionals provides strategic guidance, financial analysis, and transaction execution to ensure our clients achieve their goals. We are seeking an Associate Vice President – M&A Advisory to join our growing team. As a key member of our advisory group, you will be responsible for leading deal teams, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of Winfield Thorne. Key Responsibilities: • Lead deal teams in the execution of complex M&A transactions, including due diligence, financial modeling, and negotiation strategies. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their goals and objectives, and providing tailored advice and guidance. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your network and industry connections to drive growth and revenue. • Collaborate with the Winfield Thorne team to develop and implement strategic initiatives, driving innovation and excellence in our advisory practice. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience in M&A advisory or a related field (e.g., investment banking, private equity). • Strong understanding of M&A processes, including due diligence, financial modeling, and negotiation strategies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. • Proven track record of success in driving deal execution and revenue growth. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business administration).
