Associate Territory Manager - Trauma
Job description
At Stryker, we're driven to make healthcare better. We're looking for a Territory Manager to join our Wellington team in a unique hybrid role across both our Trauma and Foot & Ankle portfolios. This is an opportunity to work with two dynamic and fast-growing areas of the business while building strong partnerships across the region. This role covers Wellington and includes regular travel to Palmerston North one to two days a week. You'll be supported by a collaborative team and leaders who value your contribution and are committed to your development. **What you will do:** * Develop and implement a territory business plan, aligned to the regional/national sales strategy and business goals, and contribute to the overall sales performance. * Manage and grow existing customer accounts while also identifying and developing new business opportunities within the assigned territory. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, surgeons, hospital staff, and procurement teams. * Conduct product demonstrations, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction. * Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Service, etc.) to ensure seamless customer service and drive market growth. * Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and product knowledge. * Achieve or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the business unit. * Manage and control territory expenses within budget guidelines. * Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market data using CRM systems. **What you need:** * Tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g., science, business). A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred. * Proven sales experience, ideally within the medical device industry or a related field (e.g., pharmaceutical). Experience in Trauma or Orthopaedics is highly desirable. * Strong understanding of the healthcare market, including hospital purchasing processes, reimbursement, and competitive landscape. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. * Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage territory effectively. * Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Valid driver's license. **What we offer:** * A collaborative and supportive work environment. * Opportunities for professional development and career advancement. * Competitive salary and benefits package, including performance-based incentives. * Company car and other resources to support your success. * The chance to make a real difference in the lives of patients.
