Associate Scrum Master (m/w/d)
Job description
As Associate Scrum Master, you will accompany our iterative working product team around our Broadcast-Software products Makalu and ClipBox – solutions that enable broadcasters, media houses, and broadcast service providers worldwide to control their daily workflows.
You lead the sprints of the team, support the Product Owner in backlog work, and ensure that our Jira always provides a realistic picture of the current status. Together with Development, UX/UI, and Deployment, you help translate functional requirements from the broadcast world of our customers into clear, deliverable increments.
We are looking for people who feel at home in the media industry, understand the language of the industry, and have fun building software for exactly this world with an engaged, technology-driven team. An iterative, sprint-based work culture ensures that you will feel comfortable from the start.
Your Tasks
- Preliminary preparation, moderation, and follow-up of all Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily, Refinement, Review, Retrospective)
- Operative leadership of the sprints of our product team for Makalu or ClipBox – you ensure focus, flow, and a clear sprint schedule
- Support for the Product Owner in maintaining, structuring, and prioritizing the product backlog
- Maintenance and further development of our Sprint and Team Boards in Jira as well as the corresponding documentation in Confluence
- Closely working with Product Owner, Development, UX/UI, and Deployment along our software products
- Fostering transparency, self-organization, and continuous improvement within the team
- Participation in the further development of our iterative, sprint-based work process and engineering culture
Your Profile
- SUCCESSFUL completion of a degree (e.g. Computer Science, Business Informatics, Media Technology, Business Administration) or comparable qualification
- 1-2 years of practical experience as Scrum Master or in a comparable role in an iterative, sprint-based software development environment

- Proficient use of Jira and Confluence in daily team life
- Certification in the Scrum environment (e.g. PSM I, CSM) desired but not required
- Affinity to software development and SaaS products as well as noticeable experience or strong interest in the broadcast or media tech industry
- High communicative competence, moderation skills, and empathy when dealing with different stakeholders
