Job description
The Associate Professor will be responsible for academic leadership, curriculum development, and faculty mentoring in the department. The role includes a mix of teaching, research guidance, public health collaboration, and administrative responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct lectures, seminars, and clinical/community demonstrations for UG and PG students.
- Supervise MD theses, guide research projects, and publish scholarly articles.
- Lead outreach programs, epidemiological studies, and interdepartmental collaborations.
- Mentor Assistant Professors, Senior Residents, and medical interns.
- Organize and participate in CMEs, workshops, training programs, and conferences.
- Coordinate with health authorities for public health campaigns and rural health initiatives.
- Contribute to policy formulation, NABH/NABL documentation, and quality audits.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: MD in Community Medicine / PSM from an NMC-recognized medical college.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years teaching experience, including 4 years as Assistant Professor (as per NMC guidelines).
- Registration: Valid medical registration with NMC/State Medical Council.
