Society / Background :

We are recruiting for a leading international law firm, strongly implanted in Europe and Africa, a mid-senior lawyer to strengthen and develop its Africa practice, at the heart of the most dynamic markets on the continent.

You will intervene on corporate and financial strategic operations (M&A, financing, energy, natural resources, OHADA law) for an international high-level client base (groups, investors, institutions).

This position offers an , a strong cross-border exposure, and accelerated competence growth in a leading integrated firm.

Missions & Responsibilities :

  • Intervene on complex corporate and financial transactions: mergers-acquisitions, joint-ventures, restructurings, financing, settlements, energy/mining projects.
  • Counsel an international premium client base on its operations, investments, and implantations in Africa.
  • Structure, pilot, and manage your files in autonomy, with direct and regular contact with clients.
  • Actively participate in the development of the Africa practice: business development, structuring of the offer, visibility of the firm.
  • Work closely with teams based in Europe and Africa.
  • Contribute to the training and competence growth of local teams.

Profile sought :

  • Lawyer with a confirmed experience in transactional business law (corporate/M&A, finance, projects).
  • Confirmed experience in an international law firm or high-level legal environment.
  • Solid culture of company law, M&A, financing, and settlements; energy/mines exposure is a significant asset.
  • Familiarity with French and English.
  • The knowledge of OHADA law constitutes a major advantage.
  • Capacity to work on cross-border complex files, manage client relationships, and demonstrate autonomy.
  • Intrigue marked for Africa; a natural link with the DRC or good understanding of the local context is a significant plus.
