Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Cardiac | Melbourne

A unique opportunity is available for a highly experienced Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to step into a leadership role of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager in a Cardiac Ward, which recently expanded from 17 to 30 beds, at a private hospital in Melbourne. This is a permanent position with both full-time and part-time schedules available. ABOUT THE ROLE As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include: Facilitating a learning culture and fostering a positive work environment; Providing leadership and guidance to the nursing team; Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care; Collaborating with the Nurse Unit Manager to achieve unit goals and objectives; Providing education and training to staff; Participating in quality improvement initiatives; and Maintaining accurate records and reports. The ideal candidate will have: A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent; A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Cardiac Ward; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; Strong leadership and management skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and A commitment to ongoing professional development.
