Associate, Infrastructure
Job description
The Associate will join the Real Estate and Tangible Assets – Latin America team of OIRPC, based in São Paulo, with a primary focus on investments in infrastructure and sustainable energies in the Latin American region.
The Associate will be responsible for conducting fundamental research on investments, contributing to the development of recommendations, implementing investment strategies, and ensuring the follow-up and management of portfolio assets. In addition to regional responsibilities, the successful candidate may also collaborate on global opportunities, supporting our international efforts in the field of infrastructure and sustainable energies.
Responsibilities :
The Associate will work with analysts, senior associates, directors, and general managers within small transactional teams to:
- Research and synthesize sectoral, market, and asset data to identify investment opportunities and develop investment theses
- Build and maintain clear and well-structured financial models, perform valuation analyses to evaluate risks and returns, and support investment decisions
- Conduct specific due diligence (financial, commercial, and operational) and summarize key findings, risks, and mitigation measures
- Contribute to opportunity evaluation by formulating an overall opinion based on financial analysis and diligence conclusions
- Prepare high-quality analytical documents: sector reviews, investment arguments, diligence summaries, for presentation to the investment committee
- Participate in presenting investment recommendations to the investment committee
- Contribute to transaction execution, including process management, structuring, and documentation
- FOLLOW AND MANAGE PORTFOLIO ASSETS: updating models, tracking performance indicators, identifying value creation initiatives
- Develop relationships with potential partners, external advisors, intermediaries, and leadership teams in the context of origination, diligence, and post-investment management
A particular emphasis will be placed on developing the Associate's skills as an investor and leader, including:
(i) a solid understanding of the transaction process from origination to closure;(ii) preparation and execution of value creation plans;(iii) active participation in strategic discussions within the Infrastructure and Sustainable Energies team.Required skills
