Associate HKLS Engineer / Assistant Project Manager Mechanical Trades (m/f/d)
Job description
As an Associate Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful implementation of our projects. You will be responsible for the technical and organizational management of complex building projects, lead multidisciplinary project teams, and work closely with clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
In addition to your technical expertise, you bring leadership, entrepreneurial thinking, and the ability to build and develop long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the planning and successful implementation of demanding building projects
- Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary project teams
- Management of project scope, quality, costs, and deadlines
- Development of technical strategies and project solutions in collaboration with clients and project partners
- Active support and development of client relationships
- Leading project meetings and representing Buro Happold towards clients and stakeholders
- Support in bid processing and project acquisition
- Mentoring and professional leadership to foster and develop colleagues
- Contribution to the strategic further development of the Berlin MEP team
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Building Services Engineering, Building Technology, Energy Technology, or a comparable qualification
- Extensive knowledge of HOAI and several years of professional experience in the planning and management of complex building projects
- Experience in project management and stakeholder management
- In-depth understanding of project economics, cost control, and schedule management
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience in leading, developing, and motivating project teams
- Entrepreneurial thinking and enjoyment in building long-term client relationships
- Very good German language skills and good English language skills
