Associate Engineer/Engineer, Data Engineering

As an Associate Engineer/Engineer in our Data Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems to support our business growth. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or other relevant technologies. • Developing and maintaining ETL processes using tools like AWS Glue, Apache NiFi, or other relevant technologies. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data processing systems with our business applications. • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data processing, data quality, and system performance. • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering and applying this knowledge to improve our processes and systems. • Participating in code reviews and ensuring that all code is well-documented, tested, and meets our coding standards. • Working closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements. • Developing and maintaining technical documentation for data processing systems and processes. • Participating in on-call rotations to ensure the smooth operation of our data processing systems. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems. • Strong understanding of data processing concepts, including ETL, data warehousing, and big data analytics. • Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala. • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. • Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
