Our Opportunity

In the last three years, Predium has built the leading ESG intelligence platform for institutional real estate companies in the DACH region – with the strongest names in the industry as clients: asset managers, housing associations, banks. Our customer base, data, and credibility are valuable assets for the next step. Investment, credit, and asset management decisions in the real estate industry are still made in Excel, case by case. We are now building the AI analyst that will take over this work. Directly on customer data, scalable without additional headcount. We are well-funded and bringing AI into the real estate industry.

Your Mission

As a Data Scientist at Predium, you will build the models that power our platform. Using statistics, machine learning, and numerical methods, you will tackle concrete problems related to buildings, energy efficiency, and the decarbonization of real estate.

You will work closely with our engineering and product teams, transforming real-world data into reliable analytical, simulation, and ML models that identify optimization potential for more sustainable buildings and help our clients make informed investment decisions.

What You Will Do Specifically

1. You will develop and improve analytical models, ML models, and simulations to solve specific problems in the real estate and energy sectors.
2. You will build and enhance data extraction pipelines for structured and unstructured sources, verifying the accuracy and reliability of the extraction process.
3. You will continuously explore and evaluate new data sources to improve model accuracy.
4. You will check data quality, identify gaps, and assess how well your models perform – by comparing assumptions and results with real data and expert feedback.
5. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to turn business requirements into data-driven solutions.

5. You will actively seek and use feedback to develop professionally and in your working methods.

What You Bring

1. University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
2. 1-2 years of relevant practical experience with programming, ideally in Python, from projects such as physics-based modeling, machine learning, or data pipelines. Experience with TypeScript for product prototyping is a plus.
3. A structured, independent approach to problem-solving.
4. Curiosity about the business side and the ability to clearly explain your results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Proficient communication in English; German language skills are an advantage. Bonus:
6. Initial experience with optimization methods, LLM-based data extraction, or uncertainty and sensitivity analyses.
7. Familiarity with real estate, building physics, or energy systems.
8. Experience with tools for physical simulation or energy modeling.
