Your Responsibilities

• In shift work, you will independently care for patients across the entire spectrum of interdisciplinary acute and emergency medicine, from outpatient emergency care to the treatment of critically ill patients.
• Your work area includes both the emergency department and the integrated emergency practice. Depending on your experience, you will increasingly take responsibility for the independent assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of our emergency patients.
• You will have the opportunity to specifically develop your practical skills – including emergency sonography, shock room management, and NIV and High-Flow therapy.
• Experienced senior physician support is available 24 hours a day on-site. At the same time, we expect a willingness to take responsibility, actively shape clinical decisions, and contribute enthusiastically to the demanding daily emergency routine.
• You will be part of a highly committed, interprofessional team and work closely with the various specialist departments of the Aarau Cantonal Hospital. Active participation in our structured further training and interest in personal and professional development are a matter of course for us.

Your Profile

• You have at least two years of clinical professional experience as an Assistant Physician at an acute care hospital in Switzerland, preferably in General Internal Medicine, Surgery, or Anesthesiology.
• You are particularly interested in emergency medicine and ideally are already undergoing further training for the specialization "Clinical Emergency Medicine SGNOR" or wish to pursue it.
• You are resilient, flexible, and can maintain an overview and the necessary prioritization skills even in a dynamic emergency operation.
• Good ultrasound skills are an advantage; above all, we expect interest and motivation to continuously develop your emergency medicine skills.
• You are a dedicated and team-oriented personality and enjoy actively contributing to our highly motivated, collegial, and interprofessional team.
• You have excellent German language skills, both written and spoken. For foreign medical degrees, we require appropriate MEBEKO recognition.
