We are looking for a temporary assistant surgeon general surgery (w/m/d) for the clinic for general, visceral, vascular and thoracic surgery, proctology.

With the highest quality standards in medicine and care, the hospital Düren bears a special responsibility for the health care of the people in the region. Around 18,000 inpatient and 55,000 outpatient patients trust us every year as leading center provider between Cologne and Aachen, between Eifel and Lower Rhine. With 63 normal station beds and 10 beds on the interdisciplinary intensive care unit, the clinic ensures the general, visceral, vascular and thoracic surgery of patients in hospital Düren and establishes regional/overregional. The operative spectrum of the clinic includes all open and minimally invasive (including robotics) interventions in general and visceral surgery, vascular surgery and thoracic surgery. The main focuses of the clinic lie in oncological surgery (including liver and pancreas surgery), CED surgery, endocrine surgery, proctology, open and interventional vascular surgery (including carotid and aorta) as well as entire thoracic surgery with all minimally invasive procedures. Operations of all difficulty levels are comprehensively and in large numbers performed at the clinic.

Your tasks

• You treat pre- and post-operative visceral, vascular and thoracic surgical patients.

• You participate in the operative care of visceral, vascular and thoracic surgical patients under special consideration of your further education.

• In addition, you provide and treat visceral, vascular and thoracic surgical patients in the emergency department of the surgical clinic and in the day hospital.

• You participate in the on-call duty of visceral surgery.

Your profile

• You hold a completed medical degree and German licensure.

• You are highly motivated, show willingness to engage and the necessary resilience to become a surgeon for visceral surgery.

• You stand out with special team skills, social competence and a well-developed sense of interdisciplinarity.
