Job description
We are looking for an engaged Assistant (m/w/d) for preparatory accounting and administration at the World Future Council, a globally active foundation. We identify and disseminate future-oriented political solutions for current challenges and award them every two years with our unique World Future Policy Award. Our Council consists of 50 outstanding global changemakers from civil society, science, politics, and economy. Jakob von Uexkull, the founder of the Alternative Nobel Prize, founded the World Future Council in 2007.
We are seeking an engaged Assistant (m/w/d) for preparatory accounting and administration. In this position, you will support us in preparing our financial records reliably, completely, and well-structured. This will enable you to make a significant contribution to smooth internal processes and professional work within our foundation.
You will also gain valuable practical insights into the daily life of an international organization, particularly in preparatory accounting, project accounting, annual closing processes, administration, personnel management, and foundation management.
Your tasks will be:
· Processing, reviewing, and filing incoming invoices, outgoing invoices, and travel expense accounts
· Maintaining, sorting, and preparing accounting documents for further processing
· Supporting the allocation of vouchers, cost centers, and project documents
· Maintaining digital files, overviews, and internal lists
· Supporting administrative tasks in the finance, personnel, and foundation departments
· Assisting in preparing documents for internal evaluations, project accounting, and annual closing processes
Qualification
You bring:
· You support our vision and want to contribute to the work of an international foundation
· You have ideally gained first experiences in preparatory accounting, administration, or accounting
· You work carefully, reliably, and structuredly
· You possess very good German language skills and good to very good English language skills
· If you want to work as a student:in, you are enrolled in a university program
