Assistant or Coordination Assistant from March 1 to November 30, 2026
Job description
The Youth Service (SEJ) has the mission of monitoring the inclusion of youth-related issues in the development of collective actions in the City of Geneva. It commits itself to promoting socio-professional integration of young people, while preventing exclusion by strengthening ties between young people and other actors in society. The SEJ also ensures a nighttime monitoring in neighborhoods to reduce the risks of exclusion and promote good living together. To ensure that the youth service is able to fulfill its mission, we are looking for an assistant or coordination assistant who will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the youth service from March 1 to November 30, 2026. The tasks include: • Coordinating the activities of the youth service; • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of the youth service's actions; • Developing and implementing strategies to promote socio-professional integration of young people; • Building partnerships with other actors in society; • Ensuring a nighttime monitoring in neighborhoods to reduce the risks of exclusion. The ideal candidate should have: • A degree in social sciences, education or a related field; • Experience in youth work or a related field; • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Knowledge of the City of Geneva's policies and programs for young people. The assistant or coordination assistant will be responsible for: • Coordinating the activities of the youth service; • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of the youth service's actions; • Developing and implementing strategies to promote socio-professional integration of young people; • Building partnerships with other actors in society; • Ensuring a nighttime monitoring in neighborhoods to reduce the risks of exclusion. The assistant or coordination assistant will work closely with the SEJ team and will be expected to: • Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends; • Travel within the City of Geneva for meetings and events; • Use digital tools and software to communicate and collaborate with colleagues.
