And to continue advancing on this journey, we are looking for a Research Assistant to join our R&D - Cryopreservation team.

Mission:

This professional will be responsible for executing and monitoring laboratory assays focused on the development of technologies in somatic embryogenesis, tissue culture, seed solutions, and cryopreservation. They will perform biometric, chemical, physiological, and histological evaluations, ensuring the quality and reliability of the data generated for research. They will support the preparation of technical reports, update procedures, and ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Stewardship standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and evaluate laboratory assays and research experiments;
• Engage in activities related to tissue culture, somatic embryogenesis, and cryopreservation;
• Perform biometric, chemical, physiological, and histological evaluations;
• Record, organize, and analyze experimental data, ensuring its traceability and reliability;
• Prepare technical and descriptive reports of the results;
• Monitor ongoing experiments and identify opportunities for improvement;
• Support the updating of laboratory procedures and protocols;
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and Stewardship standards.

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience in plant tissue culture and/or cryopreservation;
• Knowledge of laboratory routines and procedures;
• Understanding of experimentation and experimental design;
• Organization, data processing, and analysis;
• Intermediate proficiency in Office Suite;
• Good communication and teamwork skills;
• Knowledge of LIMS and SAP will be considered a differential.
• Education: Graduation in Biology, Agronomy, Biotechnology, or related fields.
• Work Location: Piracicaba/SP – on-site / Availability for travel
• Driver's License desirable
• Contract: CLT
