Role Mission

The CSE Assistant, within a complex infrastructure context, oversees activities related to health, safety, and environment on construction sites, supporting compliance with regulatory standards and project operational procedures. The resource will contribute to monitoring safety conditions, verifying the application of preventive measures, and coordinating with key site stakeholders, in an environment characterized by operational activities, interferences, and field checks.

⚙️ Main Responsibilities

• Supervision of CSE activities on construction sites, verifying the application of current regulations regarding health, safety, and environment.
• Execution of periodic inspections to check safety conditions, organization of work areas, and correct use of PPE.
• Verification of the correct application of Safety Operating Plans (POS), operational procedures, and preventive and protective measures provided on site.
• Support in managing project HSE documentation and updating related documents.
• Preparation of inspection minutes, non-conformity reports, and periodic reporting related to HSE aspects.
• Collaboration with the Works Management, coordination figures, executing companies, and project stakeholders for managing safety criticalities.
• Participation in coordination meetings and support in analyzing incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Monitoring of environmental aspects of the construction site, with attention to the correct management of waste, emissions, noise, and impacts related to the works.
• Support in overseeing operational interferences and critical activities in highly complex infrastructure contexts.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Degree in Engineering, Prevention Techniques, Environmental Sciences, or related disciplines; technical diploma with consolidated experience in the role.

Experience

• At least 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles on civil or infrastructure construction sites.
• Experience in contexts characterized by high safety standards, operational coordination, and field activities.
• Background in projects related to linear infrastructure, civil works, road networks, or complex construction sites will be considered a plus.

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of Italian legislation on health and safety at work, with particular reference to Legislative Decree 81/08.
• Ability to perform documentary verification of POS, safety procedures, work permits, and site HSE documentation.
• Experience in conducting inspections, operational audits, and HSE reporting activities.
• Knowledge of the main environmental issues related to infrastructure construction sites.
• Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data management and reporting.
• Availability for continuous on-site presence and potential schedule flexibility depending on operational activities.
