Job description
MAIN PURPOSE
Deputizes in the Store Managers absence. Provides a world class shopping experience where customers feel special by delivering exceptional shop floor standards. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12
Retail Management diploma would be advantageous
At least 3 – 5 years working experience as an Assistant/Department Manager in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Retail Environment
Available and flexible to work different shifts across trading and none trading hours
Transferrable
Own reliable transport
SKILL/COMPETENCE
Ability to work in a team
A talent for motivating others
Strong communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Being able to adapt to challenging situations
Ability to make decisions
Business acumen
Understanding of retail, employment law, security as well as health and safety
Passion for food and knowledge of fruits & vegetables market
Attention to detail
Basic financial management
Have proven problem solving skills
Requires minimal supervision
Computer literate
