The HEIG-VD is announcing the position of

Academic HES Assistant in Energy and Environmental Technologies

• Participate in teaching tasks for the department: assistance with course preparation, supervision, and practical work preparation
  
• Participate in applied research and development (R&D) work for the Energy Institute, particularly in the field of energy valorization of dry and wet biomass
  
• Participate in the management and maintenance of the research entity's infrastructure, especially the bioenergy laboratory
  
• Participate in administrative management and any other activity necessary for the smooth operation of the department and the research entity
  

• Degree from a university of applied sciences or an equivalent qualification
  
• Interest in the field of energy valorization of biomass through thermal, physical, and biochemical pathways
  
• Good knowledge of combustion, gasification, pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion, and composting processes
  
• Ability to characterize biomass from a physico-chemical perspective
  
• Good communication skills and organizational skills
  
• Autonomy, structured work habits, and good analytical skills
  
• Good knowledge of English, in addition to French. German is an asset
  

Activity Rate : 100%

Start Date : January 1, 2027, or to be agreed upon

Contract Duration : 1 year, renewable, maximum 5 years
