Job description
The assistant SIC aéronautique job is an indispensable job to ensure the smooth running of military operations and guarantee the safety on the ground and in the air space.
Amené to intervene in France and external operations, you ensure the setup and functional maintenance of communication, navigation, and surveillance systems. Whether it is to ensure ground-to-ground and ground-to-air defense, the identification and guidance of aircraft in the air space, an assistant SIC aéronautique is always required.
A salary equal between man and woman at the same post and hierarchical level.

To become an assistant SIC aéronautique, you start with 6 weeks of military training at the Centre de Préparation Opérationnelle du Combattant de l'armée de l'Air et de l'Espace (CPOCAAE) in Orange, Vaucluse. You then follow 3 weeks of professional training on the Rochefort air base, Charente-Maritime.
You will follow a paid training:
To ensure your financial security is not an issue during the duration of your training, your assistant SIC aéronautique salary is paid in full from the start of your training course. Thus, you benefit from the same salary as a qualified assistant SIC aéronautique.
As an assistant SIC aéronautique, you deploy the systems essential to the operation of aircraft, including those that allow communication with the control tower to receive guidance data for landing. You also ensure the maintenance of ground-based radars to guarantee air space surveillance, and you keep the ground-to-air defense systems used to combat drones in operational condition.
