Job description
Role: Assistant Sales Manager
About Masai School
At Masai School, we help people transform their careers through high-impact, outcome-driven learning. We believe in delivering real value to learners, changing lives through skills and opportunity. As we grow, we’re seeking energetic, entrepreneurial sales professionals to help bring Masai’s learning programs to more students — across the country.
What you’ll do / Key Responsibilities
Generate and qualify new sales leads — reach out to prospective learners, institutional partners, or corporate clients, and build a robust funnel.
Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with clients, prospective students, and partners, ensuring trust and clarity across all communications.
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities — emerging demand segments, different geographies, corporate tie-ups, etc.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned to Masai’s mission and growth goals.
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets (enrolments, revenue, partner sign-ups, etc.), while maintaining high standards of ethics and transparency.
Prepare and present regular sales reports, pipeline status, forecasts, and analyses for leadership review.
Coordinate with marketing and outreach teams to plan and execute campaigns, events, webinars, and promotions to generate leads.
Participate in sales meetings, student-onboarding events, webinars, and industry / education-sector events representing Masai.
What we’re looking for — Qualifications & Skills
Proven skills in sales lead generation, client relationship management, and market research or business development.
Demonstrated experience in developing sales strategies and achieving or exceeding sales targets (or a strong potential/drive to do so).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to build trust with prospective learners and partners.
Familiarity with sales CRM systems or digital sales tools; comfort with outreach, follow-ups, tracking, and reporting.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, self-driven yet aligned with Masai’s values and mission.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience in education, media/communications, EdTech, or outreach-based roles is a plus (but not mandatory).
Empathy for learners / clients — understanding their needs, constraints, and offering genuine solutions rather than pushing sales.
