Assistant Professor- Product Design

Teaching & Academic Delivery Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Product Design and related disciplines. Conduct studio-based learning, workshops, critiques, and project reviews. Develop course plans, assignments, assessments, and learning materials. Mentor students in academic, industry-sponsored, and capstone projects. Integrate emerging technologies, sustainability, and human-centered design approaches into teaching. Research & Innovation Engage in research, publications, partnerships, and collaborations with industry partners, academia, and government agencies. Develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, leveraging expertise in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, and related fields. Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to develop new courses, programs, and initiatives. Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, working groups, and task forces. Contribute to the development of research centers, institutes, and initiatives that advance knowledge and innovation in Product Design and related areas. Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and community leaders to foster partnerships, collaborations, and knowledge exchange. Participate in academic and professional conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay current with best practices, trends, and innovations in the field. Contribute to the development of departmental, faculty, and university-wide policies, procedures, and initiatives that support teaching, research, and community engagement. Develop and maintain expertise in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, and related fields through ongoing professional development, training, and education. Participate in peer review processes for academic journals, conferences, and grant proposals. Contribute to the development of departmental, faculty, and university-wide strategic plans, initiatives, and priorities.
