Job Title: Assistant Professor – School of IT

Job Summary:The Assistant Professor in the School of IT will contribute to the institution's teaching, research, and academic development goals. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction in IT-related courses, mentoring students, engaging in scholarly research, and contributing to curriculum innovation and departmental activities.
Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Academics-
Deliver lectures, lab sessions, and tutorials in core areas of Computer Science/Information Technology (e.g., Programming, Data Structures, Web Development, AI, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, etc.).

Develop course materials, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with university standards.

Mentor and guide students on academic and career goals, including project work and internships.

Implement innovative teaching methods (including blended and experiential learning) to enhance student engagement and outcomes.

Undertake high-quality research individually and in collaboration with faculty or industry.

Publish research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals, conferences, or book chapters.

Participate in research projects, consultancy, and interdisciplinary initiatives.

Support accreditation and quality assurance processes (NAAC, NBA, NIRF, etc.).

Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and curriculum review exercises.

Assist in organizing academic events, workshops, and guest lectures.

Contribute to student clubs, hackathons, competitions, and co-curricular activities.
-
Participate in academic audits, documentation, and student evaluation processes.

Coordinate with industry partners for internships, placements, and guest sessions.

Represent the department at academic fairs, seminars, and community engagement programs.

Educational Qualification:
-
Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.E) in Computer Science/IT or allied areas from a recognized university.

Preference for candidates with Ph.D. or enrolled in a Ph.D. program as per UGC norms.

Experience:

Minimum 1–3 years of teaching or relevant experience.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong subject knowledge and communication skills.

Familiarity with learning management systems and digital teaching tools.

Ability to mentor and motivate students.
