Assistant Finance Manager - Mumbai Job Summary: We are hiring an Assistant Finance Manager who can act as a strong second-in-command to the finance leadership. This role is not limited to bookkeeping or compliance, it is about owning financial discipline across operations, ensuring numbers reflect business reality, and enabling leadership with timely, accurate insights. The ideal candidate will combine technical accounting strength with business understanding, have comfort working close to operational teams, and be able to drive process improvements. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including finance, operations, and sales teams. • Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, ensuring alignment with company goals. • Collaborating with the finance leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives. • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. • Identifying areas for process improvements and implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. • Developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. • Providing guidance and support to junior finance team members. The ideal candidate will have: • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field. • 5+ years of experience in a similar role. • Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in financial planning and analysis. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. • Certification in accounting or finance (CPA, CMA, etc.) is an added advantage.
