Assistant Engineer M/F in Experimental Techniques and Mechanical Design

Your missions

You will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and instrumenting mechanical and experimental devices according to technical plans, then developing, optimizing, and adapting associated protocols.

Your activities

• Participate in the design and implementation of experiments in experimental techniques: plan or diagram, dimensioning calculations, assembly, adjustment, and testing

• Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of equipment and/or experiments

• Contribute to the mechanical realization of initial studies and prototypes

• Apply and enforce hygiene and safety rules

• Train users in the implementation of experimental devices

• Assist researchers and students in the realization of their projects

• Participate in the valorization of laboratory technologies.

Gross monthly salary

According to status or by contractual means from €1,850 to €3,111 depending on experience

Working hours

37 hours and 30 minutes/week - 1,607 hours/year

Holidays

50 days of leave, including RTT, per academic year

Work environment and context

You will join the analytical and technical support unit of the Industrial Process Engineering department. You will actively contribute to research within the TIMR (Transformations Intégrées de la Matière Renouvelable) laboratory and to teaching Industrial Process Engineering (pilot plants, practical work benches, etc.).

Occasional travel (training, meetings, events) is to be expected.

The Industrial Process Engineering – GPI – department trains engineers responsible for designing, dimensioning, and optimizing physical, chemical, and biological transformation facilities to address the major challenges of our century: energy production and storage, substitution of fossil raw materials with renewable resources, sustainable food, water and waste management, eco-design, minimization of risks and environmental impacts.

Laboratory

The TIMR (Transformations Intégrées de la Matière Renouvelable) laboratory positions itself at the convergence of Industrial Process Engineering and Chemistry practices and knowledge, with the aim of valorizing agro-resources and in a sustainable development strategy.

Experience

Initial professional experience in the field of activity is expected and particularly appreciated within an institution of higher education.
