Assistant Accountant

The Company
My client is the New Zealand arm of a large global business. This company has a significant market share with a strong brand presence and reputation for quality across New Zealand and Asia Pacific. The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager and working in a wider team of 6, you will be an integral part of the accounting team during a busy period.

• Assisting with GL accounts through Year-End; including GL reconciliations and Balance sheet reconciliations
• Month-end accruals and journals
• Preparation of GST and FBT
• Managing large volumes of allocations
• Assisting with Accounts Receivable
• Assisting with monthly reporting
• Ad-hoc duties as requested

Your Profile
We are looking for an experienced candidate who is happy to roll up their sleeves and assist all departments of finance. You will be working in a large and complex organisation so will ideally have exposure to working in this environment.You will have good attention to detail and communication skills, you will be a self-starter who shows initiative and drive, and you will ideally have experience working on a large ERP system like SAP.
