Location: Letchworth, Hertfordshire
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: £12.74/h

About the Role

I’m currently recruiting for a permanent Assembly Operative on behalf of a manufacturing client based in Letchworth.

Full training will be provided, so previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is helpful but not essential. What’s most important is a good attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components accurately and efficiently following written instructions or technical drawings.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all products meet required standards.
• Operate hand tools and small machinery safely and correctly.
• Keep your workstation clean, tidy, and organised.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production (preferred but not essential).
• Strong attention to detail and a steady, methodical approach to work.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
