Job description

We are looking for an assembler to join our growing team. Our industrial partner, specialized in manufacturing industrial equipment, is seeking present-day assemblers.

Main tasks :

  • Read and interpret welding plans and symbols;
  • Drill, mill, cut with plasma or oxyacetylene torch;
  • Fabricate templates;
  • Make a layout for positioning parts, openings, cutting lines, and chamfering of parts, etc.;
  • Position parts using templates, jigs, tire-forts, married, supports, etc.;
  • Use a rolling platform and crane to move, turn, and position parts safely;
  • Select the welding equipment and filler material appropriate for the welding procedure;
  • Respect assembly sequences, inspections, weldings, etc.;
  • Verify part positioning, dimensions, and alignment before welding;
  • Perform a pressure test and/or hydrostatic test when required;
  • Maintain the work area clean and safe at all times.

Required skills :

  • DEP in welding/mounting or relevant experience in assembly;
  • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists;
  • Skill for calculations (circumference, diameter, etc.);
  • Ability to adapt to different environments (enclosed space, height, temperature variation, etc.);
  • Certificate of competence – rolling platform (an asset);
  • Finesse and attention to detail;
  • Punctuality and attendance.

Work conditions :

  • Permanent daytime position, 40 hours a week;
  • Weekly pay;
  • Job stability for the year;
  • Possibility of overtime work;
  • Flexible schedule;
  • Salary: between $29.82 and $38.24 per hour depending on experience.
