Assembly Technician Mechatronics
Job description
What will you do?
You will work for an organization where technical innovation and quality are central. You start your day by carefully reviewing blueprints, E-plan schematics, and 3D models of the machine you will build or test today. First, you make yourself thoroughly familiar with the design, so you know exactly what needs to happen and what to look out for. Then, you get to work with the assembly of both mechanical components and electrical components. You place motors, cabinets, sensors, cables, and other components precisely according to specifications, and you check at every moment if everything fits and works as it should.
You also set up the cabling and connect the various components to each other. You ensure that everything is installed safely and neatly, so that no problems arise later. Once everything is physically in order, you set up the machine software and perform a comprehensive test to see if the machine does what it's supposed to do. This sometimes means you encounter an error, but you enjoy puzzling and solving problems independently, or you ask for help from a colleague or project leader if needed.
You pay close attention to the quality of your work. You check your own work, but you also regularly discuss with the team and keep track of what you've done, so that others can learn from your approach. You ensure that everything is properly documented in assembly protocols and blueprints, so that we can always look back in the future how the machine is assembled.
Because you work with real deadlines and sometimes need an extra push during busy times, you are flexible and open to occasional overtime, of course with a nice bonus. You work together with colleagues on technical high-standards where clients worldwide rely on, and you contribute directly to the success of the organization through your craftsmanship, attention to detail, and solution-oriented mindset.
