Assembly Employee
Job description
Do you enjoy assembling unique, technical products? Do you like working in an innovative and dynamic environment where you assemble thrusters? Then I am looking for you! I am searching for an assembly mechanic for a large organization within the shipping industry! As an assembly mechanic, you are responsible for assembling unique thrusters from A to Z. The organization effortlessly transforms customer-specific requests into custom products. From drawings, you, as an assembly mechanic, are responsible for building all tail pieces, center sections, and top casings. Within the function of assembly mechanic, you will rotate through work cells where you work independently and as part of a team on the thrusters. As an assembly mechanic, you are responsible for:
- Independently reading drawings and work instructions via the computer;
- Assembling and adjusting loose gears into gearboxes;
- Adjusting various bearing arrangements;
- Mounting various types of seals;
- Building various components for the hydraulic system (pumps, valves, control valves, and piping).
Do the above tasks seem challenging enough for you? Then read on quickly to see what you bring to the table!
You will be working in a team where people work with passion on the product and within an informal team with short lines of communication. You will be given the opportunity to make your own decisions, which stimulates creative ideas. Furthermore, as an assembly mechanic, you can expect the following:
- A good salary between €2,900 and €3,800 gross per month (depending on your experience);
- A covering travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer;
- A generous overtime arrangement according to the CAO Metalektro;
- Many vacation days because you build up ATV days;
- You will be affiliated with a good pension fund upon employment;
- With good performance, you have the prospect of a permanent contract.
You work meticulously and only stop when the thruster is fully adjusted. Additionally, you are patient and willing to put in extra effort where necessary. Furthermore, you have experience with gears and bearings or are eager enough to learn the trade yourself. As an assembly mechanic, you also bring the following:
- A completed MBO (vocational) education level 3 or 4 (e.g., in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or similar);
- In possession of a VCA (is a plus, you can obtain this through us);
- In possession of a driver's license.
Not in possession of all requirements? No problem! Juniors are also eligible for this vacancy.
