At our Pediatric Department for Infants, Children, and Adolescents, a focus on treating eating disorders has been established since 2013. In January 2022, the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry was put into operation. The possibility exists to specialize in psychosomatic medicine according to the guidelines of the ÖÄK (duration: varied depending on recognized prior experience of 9-15 months). This specialization is based on the principles of the ÖÄK and is characterized by a comprehensive approach to the treatment of patients with psychosomatic disorders. The specialization is designed to provide physicians with the necessary knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat patients with psychosomatic disorders. The training program includes both theoretical and practical components, including lectures, seminars, and clinical practice. The specialization is recognized by the ÖÄK and is a valuable addition to the physician's professional profile.
