Physician / Doctor (m/f/d) General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry or Psychotherapy in Drug Assistance: Where Your Work Makes a Real Difference Every Day.

We are looking for you to join our interdisciplinary team at the Contact and Counseling Center Drob Inn of Jugendhilfe e. V. as a Physician / Doctor (w/m/d), preferably part-time or full-time (25% – 100% of a full-time position), as soon as possible.

Jugendhilfe e. V. is a non-profit organization that has been active in Hamburg for over six decades. The association operates outpatient and inpatient facilities for drug and addiction help, as well as homeless assistance.

Drob Inn is a state-recognized contact and counseling center with integrated drug consumption rooms, basic medical care, and a low-threshold substitution outpatient clinic in Hamburg St. Georg. The facility offers drug-dependent individuals a wide range of low-threshold and abstinence-oriented services. Drob Inn is used by many people with a migration background, who are homeless, and often uninsured.

Your main focus will be on the treatment of clients who use the basic medical care services offered by Drob Inn. Your medical work makes a direct difference: As part of our team, you will reach people in a low-threshold manner, stabilize their health situation, and open up new opportunities for them for better health, participation, and life prospects.

Your responsibilities include:

• basic medical care for clients
• low-threshold medical counseling for clients
• diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses
• referral and collaboration with further medical and social services
• substitution treatment

Your Profile:

Education:

• Successfully completed medical studies and a medical license recognized in Germany
• Note: Please note that we unfortunately do not offer specialist training in this position

Important to us:

• Enjoyment of collaboration in an interdisciplinary team
• Empathy, openness, and respectful interaction with people in difficult life situations
• Commitment and interest in low-threshold medical care

Ideally, you also bring:

• Additional qualification in "Basic Drug Addiction Medicine" or willingness to obtain it (funded by us)
• Experience in treating drug-dependent clients
