Mid and Senior Animation Artists – Multiple Positions

The Animation Artist at Rodeo FX plays a key role in creating hyper-realistic animations for creatures, characters, and objects, ensuring they meet the studio's high standards. This role requires a deep understanding of movement, narration, and acting to bring realistic and fantastical characters to life.
The artist will collaborate with the animation lead and supervisor to achieve creative project objectives while respecting deadlines. The ability to work independently and contribute to the development of animation techniques is essential.

Main Responsibilities:

Mastery Your Craft:

• Provide high-quality animations that capture natural and exaggerated movements, according to project needs.
• Demonstrate technical skills in different animation styles (realistic, cartoon, etc.) depending on creative direction.

Creative Quality:

• Create convincing performances for creatures, characters, and objects based on creative vision and project requirements;
• Strive to continually improve animation quality by refining performances, seeking reactions, and pushing the limits of creativity;

Technical Quality:

• Ensure that the animation is technically sound, respects guidelines, and functions effectively in different pipelines;
• Work closely with technical teams and rigging to overcome challenges and improve workflow for animation;

Communication:

• Collaborate efficiently with other services, providing clear feedback and discussing creative and technical solutions to achieve optimal results;
• Inform production leaders and teams of progress, potential bottlenecks, and adjustments;

Teach, Learn, and Evolve:

• Share knowledge, participate in department-wide learning sessions, and mentor junior animators;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest animation techniques and technologies and continuously develop skills.
