ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist at Baptist Health Urgent Care - PRN

Baptist Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team in Jacksonville, AR. JOB SUMMARY: This position will perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure, as well as perform Medical Assistant duties. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned. * Performs all radiologic procedures as ordered by a physician. * Positions patients and equipment for radiographic procedures. * Prepares and operates radiographic equipment. * Evaluates radiographs for technical quality. * Assists physicians with exams as needed. * Prepares contrast media as necessary. * Maintains adequate supplies and stocks radiology room. * Maintains and reviews patient records. * Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work environment. * Ability to maintain patient confidentiality. * Performs Medical Assistant duties when necessary. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program required. * Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred. Experience: * Prior experience as an X-Ray Technologist, Medical Assistant, or related experience preferred. Licenses/Certifications: * ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required OR * Arkansas Limited X-Ray Machine Operator license required. * Current BLS certification required. Other: * Must possess good communication skills. * Must be able to work independently. * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. * Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
