Area Security Specialist MX
Job description
As Area Security Specialist in the function of Security, you are responsible for supporting Sales and Profit in your Areas by establishing a security plan to offer the Best Customer Experience according to your Area's objectives and the Country's Security approaches. Acting as a leader with a knowledge-based approach, you support stores and Area Teams to enable the Best Equipment from a security perspective based on results, values, and leadership. You support Areas ensuring effective and efficient delivery (with the lowest possible long-term cost) of Security Services and achieving Green Standard for H&M Group. You work according to legal requirements and global standards, policies, and procedures for H&M to satisfy customer and colleague expectations for all brands. Analyze facts that lead to a risk-based approach for losses and costs. This hybrid/field role reports to the Security Manager MX-CO-EC and has its base office in Mexico City. - Act as a leader with a knowledge-based approach, empowering Store and Area Teams to increase risk awareness.
- Built an organization centered on the customer that takes decisions based on risks.
- Work with talent and development based on results, values, and leadership to have the right people in the right place with the right competencies.
- Communicate clearly and inspiringly about commercial performance and objectives.
- Collaboration with Area Sales Managers and Store Teams to ensure and promote a culture of health and safety in stores.
- Support Health & Safety Responsible to supervise completion of all training related to Health, Safety, and Security in H&M's Learning Systems.
- Educate Store Teams on all aspects of security and promote a positive feedback culture.
- Support leadership education in our offices and stores about the Group H&M Code of Ethics.
- Collaboration with Area HR and Sales Managers to identify, develop, and manage future security talents through succession planning.
- Support coordination and management of local crisis situations when they arise.
- Establish interfunctional collaboration with different functions at the Area level and organize quarterly meetings with each one.
- Establish relationships with external stakeholders, including police and shopping center security.
- You have a clear role in Security and ensure that operations follow the global strategy and standards defined by H&M. You help with planning, training, and implementation of special projects.
- Establish strategic plans to achieve H&M's security objectives based on relevant KPIs.
- You actively work with cost tracking, including forecasts and investment costs.
- You minimize risk for the company by achieving and executing all Green Standards.
- You identify stores with good performance, capture best practices, and share store experiences within the Security Team and with our stakeholders.
- You are responsible for ensuring that the entire security team in stores is functioning correctly and operatively, as well as managing repair scheduling when necessary.
- You are responsible for programming and tracking guard performance, as well as monitoring their presence and compliance in stores.
- You actively work with the Prevention of Losses strategy in all stores and business units, performing quarterly follow-up to minimize losses and improve inventory accuracy.
- You summarize cost performance for responsible areas, including current, budget, forecast, and previous year.
- You maintain a local relationship with external service providers, meet with them as needed, provide continuous feedback, and ensure that performance is aligned with contract terms.
- You identify opportunities within security reports and collaborate interfunctionally to maximize gains and minimize losses.
- Strategic Prevention of Losses strategy for all stores with quarterly follow-up to minimize losses and increase inventory accuracy.
- You are responsible for identifying external/internal theft cases and dishonest activities, conducting interviews when applicable, and following up through approved portals, in collaboration with Market Sales Employee Relations and Area HR.
- You manage all situations related to risk in assigned stores, including store accidents, customer conflicts, unproductive shoplifting incidents, and disruptive customers.
