Apprentice Network & System Specialist

Type of contract: Professional Apprenticeship Contract / Full-time

LeafNet is a system integrator and technology partner that supports companies and professionals in the design, management, and protection of digital infrastructures through advanced networking, cloud, data protection, and cybersecurity services.

We are looking for an Apprentice Network & System Specialist with approximately 1 year of experience (or strong educational background) to be permanently integrated into our internal team. The resource will be mentored by senior figures and guided through a professional growth path focused on the design, configuration, and management of corporate networks, server systems, and IT security.

The ideal candidate is a young person passionate about technology, with solid logical and computer science foundations, precision, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn on the job how modern network architectures and infrastructures are managed. A basic/intermediate knowledge of networking concepts and major operating systems is required, along with a predisposition to learn about server technologies, PC/client, NAS, networking, and Cloud environments.

We are not looking for a freelancer or an external consultant: the role will be integrated into our team with a dedicated training and growth plan.

What you will do

• Mentorship in the design and configuration of corporate networks (LAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, VPN);
• Support in the configuration and installation of network devices (switches, routers, access points, firewalls);
• Monitoring of client infrastructures for timely identification of any anomalies or failures;
• Assistance in the management and maintenance of physical and virtual servers;
• Operational support in backup procedures, data recovery, and NAS storage management;
• Handling of 1st level technical support requests and initial contact for Incident Management;
• Participation in technical interventions both remotely and on-site at client locations;
• Creation of basic technical documentation and mapping of corporate networks.

Requirements

• Approximately 1 year of experience in the role (including internships or technical support) or a diploma/qualification in IT/telecommunications;
• Basic knowledge of key networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing/Switching basics, DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, VLAN and VPN concepts);
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and basic virtualization environments;
• Strong passion for hardware, corporate networks, and cybersecurity;
• Excellent predisposition to learning, curiosity, and an aptitude for problem-solving;
• Precision, reliability, respect for deadlines, and good interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work in a team and engage positively with colleagues;
• Possession of a Class B Driver's License (for potential on-site client visits in the territory).
