plus10 is a Fraunhofer IPA Spin-off. Our AI tool Hopper optimizes injection molding processes in real-time — less scrap, shorter cycle times, faster setup.

Hopper helps customers to alleviate the shortage of skilled workers, process technical plastics and recyclates stably, and make production knowledge systematically usable.

An established product in daily use at well-known customers from medical technology, automotive, and consumer goods sectors.

Aufgaben

TECHNISCHE IMPLEMENTIERUNG BEIM KUNDEN

• Technical requirement gathering on-site: machine configuration, data availability, OT connection
• Coordination of machine control systems and OPC UA interfaces
• Configuration of Hopper for the specific process (material, machine, quality targets)
• Training and instruction of machine operators, shift leaders, and process engineers
• Handover to stable operation and ongoing technical support

PROJEKTKOORDINATION

• Self-responsible steering of ongoing Hopper implementation projects

FEEDBACK & PRODUKTENTWICKLUNG

• Structured customer requirements to the development team
• Shopfloor feedback translated into concrete feature requests

Perspektive: With growing project experience, there is the possibility of gradually taking over overall technical responsibility for Hopper.

Qualifikation

• Degree in plastics technology, mechanical engineering, process engineering, etc. — or technical training with corresponding work experience
• Experience in plastics processing, particularly injection molding — setup, optimization, fault diagnosis
• Experience with at least one common injection molding machine control system (e.g. Arburg Selogica/Gestica, Engel CC300, Demag NC5)
• Fundamental understanding of industrial OT environments: OPC-UA, machine data, and edge devices (no programming knowledge required)
• Experience in coordinating technical projects, structured self-responsible working style
• Fluent German, English B2 (business language)
• Travel readiness approximately 10-20% (Germany + EU)

NICE-TO-HAVE

• Experience with extrusion processes
• Knowledge in data analysis or industry software introductions
• Safe handling of AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT in professional life
