Application Developer Java (100%)

Do you want to help shape modern software solutions in the financial sector and specifically apply your Java skills? In this role, you will develop and optimize applications and services in the "Investments and Pensions" portfolio of a renowned financial institution. Together with your team, you will ensure reliable operation and drive the continuous further development of services according to the DevOps principle. You will work in a large Agile Release Train (ART) and actively shape the future of the application landscape – agile, team-oriented, and according to SAFe and SCRUM.

Main Tasks:

• Independent implementation of requirements from the business unit using the provided technology stack (Java Spring Backend, Angular Frontend, Azure Cloud)

• Clarifications with the business unit / client and application owners

• Participation in agile ceremonies

Requirements:

• Sound education in computer science, very good knowledge of Java and Java development tools, knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA

• At least 5 years of experience as a software developer in the Java environment, with a focus on backend development and a good understanding of frontend development

• Knowledge of Angular/TypeScript

• Experience with agile development methods, quick comprehension, strong analytical thinking – open and communicative personality, strong team player

• Willingness to take on operational tasks (DevOps)

• Enjoyment and interest in topics in and around the area of Investments & Pensions, enjoyment of working in an environment with many dependencies (both technical and in collaboration)

General Framework Conditions:

• Workload: 100%

• Assignment: from January 4, 2027 to December 31, 2027

• Workplace: on-site at the customer in Zurich

• Good German and English skills mandatory
