Applied Research Lead Rubus MX

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as an Applied Research Lead Rubus MX. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of scientists and researchers in the development of new blueberry varieties, breeding programs, and plant improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include: • Leading and managing a team of scientists and researchers in the development of new blueberry varieties, breeding programs, and plant improvement initiatives. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement research strategies and plans that align with our company’s goals and objectives. • Conducting and publishing original research in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presenting findings at industry conferences. • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including blueberry growers, researchers, and industry partners. • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in plant breeding, genetics, and related fields, and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within our organization. • Mentoring and guiding junior scientists and researchers to ensure their professional development and growth. • Participating in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution. • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to research and development. • Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement new products, services, and processes that align with our company’s goals and objectives. • Providing technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders as needed. • Participating in industry events, conferences, and workshops to stay current on best practices and advancements in the field. • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of blueberry genetics, breeding programs, and plant improvement initiatives. • Collaborating with other teams to develop and implement new products, services, and processes that align with our company’s goals and objectives.
