Application Support Specialist

Are you passionate about technology and committed to delivering exceptional customer support? We are looking for a dedicated Application Support Specialist to become part of our dynamic 24/7 operations team.

In this role, you will act as the first contact for clients, ensuring seamless application functionality, resolving incidents, and overseeing system performance.

This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Kazakhstan, whether it's your home or well-equipped offices in Astana, Almaty or Karaganda.

Responsibilities

• Work four or five 8-hour shifts weekly within a 24/7 support framework
• Address client issues directly through calls, instant messaging, and emails
• Capture incident details comprehensively (e.g., retrieve logs, capture screenshots)
• Track system availability, pricing, and various alerts (logs, metrics, others)
• Run predefined scripts (e.g., system restarts, share documentation links)
• Sort and transfer issues to appropriate teams when required
• Maintain online presence and ensure continuous communication during investigations
• Aid in improving the internal knowledge base

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in written and spoken English
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux administration
• Knowledge of SQL (MariaDB, MS SQL, etc.)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools
• GIT, Docker, Bash, PowerShell, Python considered valuable skills
• Strong problem-solving mentality with the ability to focus for prolonged periods
• Basic understanding of financial markets preferred
• Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

• Background in scripting languages such as Bash or Python
• Skills in automation tools including Docker or PowerShell
• Competency in GIT workflows
• Understanding of system architectures and performance tuning
• Flexibility to adapt to new tools and technologies as needed
