Application Lead Seedcare Institute

Job Description At Syngenta, our goal is to create a highly collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, delivering top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta's NA Crop Protection Human Resources team is looking for a Seedcare Application Lead in Plattsville, Ontario. Accountabilities: Design and execute Seedcare product formulation treating and planting tests in the lab and commercial operations/fields to support the development of new seed products. This includes planning and coordinating with cross-functional teams, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and presenting results to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including scientists, engineers, and other technical experts. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement testing protocols and procedures. Conduct literature reviews and stay up-to-date on the latest scientific research and developments in seed technology. Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on seed-related matters. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Syngenta's seed products, including their characteristics, benefits, and limitations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed. Develop and manage budgets for testing programs and projects. Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues on seed-related matters. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with Syngenta's policies, procedures, and standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as agronomy, horticulture, or plant breeding. Minimum 5 years of experience in seed technology, crop protection, or related field. Strong understanding of seed biology, genetics, and physiology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with statistical analysis software such as R or SAS is an asset.
