Job description

The role of **Application Administrator** is part of the **Non-Life** department and ensures the administration, security, and monitoring of applications and platforms supporting the group's non-life insurance companies — from data platforms to critical business applications. As an **Application Administrator**, you will be responsible for the availability, security, and proper functioning of applications, with a focus on vulnerability remediation, operational automation, and proactive environment monitoring. **Requirements** **Application & Platform Administration** * Experience in administering business applications and data platforms, preferably in an enterprise environment * Hands-on experience with the Databricks platform (workspace administration, Unity Catalog, clusters, jobs) * Vulnerability management (patching, hardening, securing, CVE remediation at the database level, etc.) * Programming/scripting experience in Python for automation and integration is an advantage * Knowledge of Linux, server administration, and file systems * Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure) and related services is an advantage * Knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases — administration (PL/SQL & T-SQL, tuning, backup & restore) is an advantage **Deployment, CI/CD & Version Management** * Experience with deployment and release management processes for applications and data platforms * Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (build, test, deploy) and automating deliveries in multiple environments (dev / test / prod) * Solid knowledge of Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts) * Experience with Jira for task and workflow management is an advantage * Knowledge of version management and source code control (Git — branching, merging, tagging, versioning) * Familiarity with DevOps principles and controlled, repeatable release practices **Security & Vulnerability Remediation** * Experience in identifying, prioritizing, coordinating activities, and remediating application vulnerabilities (patching, hardening, CVE remediation) * Understanding of application security best practices (OWASP, access control, principle of least privilege) * Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and interpreting security reports * Knowledge of identity and access management (Azure AD / Entra ID, RBAC) * Familiarity with DORA and GDPR requirements and specific security policies for the financial / insurance sector **Automation & Monitoring** * Experience in automating operational tasks (deployment, patching, recurring tasks) through scripting * Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring (logging, alerting, dashboards) * Ability to diagnose and resolve incidents and perform root-cause analysis **What we appreciate additionally:** * Experience with core insurance systems (e.g., INSIS) or other critical business applications * Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) * Security certifications (e.g., Security+, Azure Security) or Databricks / Oracle certifications are an advantage * Process orientation, documentation, and continuous improvement focus, results-oriented **Responsibilities:** * Administration, configuration, and maintenance of applications and platforms within the Non-Life perimeter (integration with Databricks, Oracle, core business applications) * Identification, prioritization, and remediation of security vulnerabilities at the application and platform level * Applying patches, hardening, and security measures according to group security policies * Developing Python scripts to automate operational and maintenance tasks * Managing deployment and release processes through CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), with source code versioning and control * Implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for critical applications * Proactive, not just reactive, application of security measures required for the systems they administer * Managing user access and permissions (RBAC, Unity Catalog, Oracle, Azure AD) * Diagnosing and resolving incidents, with root cause analysis and preventive measures * Collaborating with development, data, infrastructure, and security / compliance teams * Documenting configurations, operational procedures, and security measures **What we offer:** * Participation in strategic data and digital transformation projects in the insurance industry * Exposure to a modern data platform (Databricks Lakehouse, Microsoft Fabric) and AI initiatives * Competitive salary package, correlated with experience and professional level * Hybrid work program and flexibility * Central office and a stable, professional, and collaborative work environment * Access to specialized training, certifications, and conferences * Multidisciplinary team and the opportunity to contribute to group-level visibility projects Our people's diversity plays a major role in our success.
