We are looking for an experienced Appian Systems Engineer for the C³ project, which focuses on optimizing the CRM landscape in the Customer Care area. In this role, you will act as a technical expert on behalf of the client, support the implementation of a new Appian-based solution, and ensure compliance with technical standards through reviews and consulting.

Your tasks

• Acts as Appian Systems Engineer on behalf of the client in a complex environment with technical and functional dependencies to various areas

• Acts as technical counterpart for the IT service provider in the context of implementing the new Appian-based Customer Care solution

• Regularly exchanges information with relevant technical experts to identify optimization potential in the technical further development of the application and ensures that the application is technically consistently set up and further developed

• Analysis, review, and consulting for setup and further development of the Customer Care system landscape, including quality assurance, proposal development, and implementation support

• Conducting Appian code reviews

• Consulting on best practices in Appian development and near-development quality assurance

• Review of data structures and data integrations with partner systems

• Review of architectural decisions by the service provider

• Consulting for system administration regarding installation, configuration, deployment & CI/CD

• Possibly conducting low-code development (Appian Build)

• Process modeling: Designing complex workflows with BPMN 2.0 standards

• Interface design: Creating responsive UIs using the Appian SAIL Framework

• Data management: Defining data stores, CDTs (Complex Data Types) and record types

• Integration: Connecting third-party systems via REST/SOAP APIs and Connected Systems

Must-requirements

• Certification as Appian Senior Developer or higher, including proof of certifications

• Very good knowledge in low-code development (Appian Build) in the areas of process modeling, interface design, data management, and integration, demonstrated through practical experience in at least two projects over a total duration of at least five years

• Language skills in German and English on the B2 level of the Common European Framework for Languages, documented by a proof according to the offer

Can-requirements

• Certification as Appian Lead Developer, which is documented in the offer

• Several years of experience as Lead Developer or technical architect of at least five years, documented according to the offer

• Experience through active participation in at least two projects in creating responsive UIs using the Appian SAIL Framework, defining data stores, CDTs (Complex Data Types) and record types, and connecting third-party systems to Appian via REST/SOAP APIs and Connected Systems

• Experience in conducting Appian code reviews in at least three projects, documented according to the offer

• Experience in Appian deployment, including setting up CI/CD and managing packages and automated deployments between Dev-, Test-, Acceptance- and production environments, documented according to the offer

Additional information

The place of performance is Frankfurt am Main. The service provision will usually be location-independent and remote, with a willingness for on-site dates as needed.
