API Engineer (M/F)

Your Missions
Reporting directly to the API Lead Developer, you are the technical guarantor of our APIs. You are a Backend or Fullstack developer (with at least significant experience in API development) wishing to combine coding practice with a central role in functional evaluation, architecture design, and technical specification writing.

1. Architecture Design and Technical Specifications (40%)

• Analyze and challenge functional specifications from PMs.
• Model databases, define endpoints, and design API contracts.
• Write technical specifications.

2. Development & Debugging (40%)

• Develop new endpoints and maintain existing services (performant internal PHP framework, React frontend).
• Solve technical problems, debug, and optimize SQL queries.
• Support internal teams during delivery and participate in code reviews.

3. Productivity, LLM & Technical Monitoring (20%)

• Integrate LLMs into daily work to automate or improve documentation, testing, code review, and internal tooling.
• Participate in technical discussions with developers.
• Monitor and improve the tracking of API errors and performance.

Requirements

• Education: You have a Bac+5 degree in computer science.
• Experience: You have significant prior experience as a Backend or Fullstack developer. You have already faced the realities of production, API design, and software delivery cycles.
• Technical Skills: You master at least one Backend language and are ready to adopt a robust internal PHP framework. You have knowledge of React for the web part.
• Analytical Mindset: Faced with a specifications document, you enjoy digging deep and finding the details to avoid technical pitfalls before the first commit.
• Team Spirit: You enjoy collaborating with diverse profiles (PMs, Devs, Ops). You know how to listen, ask questions, and simplify complex ideas.
• LLM / AI Sensitivity: You already use tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude daily and are ready to find solutions to integrate generative AI usage into our existing processes.
• Precision: This role is neither a Product Owner nor a functional project management position; you read logs, design software architectures, and write code.
