APAC Institutional BD Director: Launch the Franchise from Singapore

fp global is looking for a business development professional in Singapore to enhance their institutional distribution in the Asia Pacific region. This hands-on role involves selling long-only equity and related asset management products to institutional investors. Successful candidates will originate and close business while building relationships with key allocators. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy for the Asia Pacific region, focusing on institutional investors. • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key allocators, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and other institutional investors. • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through research, networking, and targeted outreach efforts. • Collaborating with the investment team to develop and refine product offerings that meet the needs of institutional investors. • Staying up-to-date on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform business development strategies and tactics. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business, or economics). • At least 5 years of experience in institutional business development, asset management, or a related field. • Proven track record of success in originating and closing new business deals. • Strong understanding of the Asia Pacific region's institutional investor landscape and market trends. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese) is an asset.
