Application Specialist Precision Machining (100%)

• Development, optimization, and validation of machining processes in the areas of grinding, lapping, and polishing
• Planning, execution, and evaluation of experiments for customer applications and internal development projects
• Development of process-reliable machining solutions for demanding workpieces and materials
• Selection and evaluation of suitable tools, abrasives, and lapping and polishing media
• Measurement and analysis of workpieces regarding geometry, form and position accuracy, and surface quality with state-of-the-art measuring technology
• Interpretation and documentation of measurement results, as well as derivation of optimization measures
• Creation of technical reports, evaluations, and presentations in German and English
• Technical support of customers on-site as well as execution of experiments and process optimizations at the customer's premises
• Close collaboration with Sales, Product Management, and Research & Development
• Operation, maintenance, and care of the machines and measuring systems used

• Technical basic training with experience in manufacturing or precision machining
• Enthusiasm for technical contexts, measuring technology, and process optimization
• Experience in grinding, lapping, or polishing is an advantage
• Analytical thinking skills as well as an independent and structured way of working
• Joy in developing solutions for demanding customer applications
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
• French language skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel and enjoyment of personal exchange with customers
