Job description
Job Description
As a senior gameplay animator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality animations in first-person view that define the iconic feeling of Rainbow Six Siege. You will work on both first-person view (viewmodel) and its third-person replication, ensuring coherence, reactivity, and immersion. Your work will have a direct impact on the player's experience.
This is what you'll do:
- Design and implement animation systems for the first-person view player, as well as their third-person equivalent.
- Create expressive and refined keyframe animations, respecting artistic direction and design constraints.
- Work with motion capture data (mocap) for third-person animations, adapting them to the game's style and technical constraints.
- Export and integrate your animations into the engine, collaborating with technical animators, designers, and programmers.
- Closely collaborate with other animators, directors, and developers to deliver your features on time and at the expected quality level.
- Participate in the creative process by producing prototypes or mockups if necessary.
- Be responsible for the final in-game feeling of your animations – that's our primary quality criterion.
- Work as a team, share your ideas, and welcome those of others. You enjoy creatively solving complex problems elegantly.
- Mentor and support junior members of the team.
The systems include, but are not limited to:
- First-person shooter experience.
- Operators.
- Event content.
- Basic gameplay R&D.
